Too Complicated to Use

all I want to do is rename my screenshots with a month name (Feb) and a day number but after much trial and error I get Feb 001, Feb 002, etc. instead of Feb 1, Feb 2, etc,
Have tried to eliminate the folllowing 00s but cant do it.
Have wasted enough time on this app. will not use it anymore…
too bad. it is reasonably priced.
