Actually copies rather than renames

I have a large collection of TV episodes on my media server. In order to allow proper scraping I needed to rename all of the episodes in a very particular way. I bought this app (shuld have tried the free version I guess) and it does what I want as far as giving me the names I needed but it COPIES the files rather than just renaming them. Now these are large video files so you can imagine how much disk activity that equals. Seems kinda dumb to not just rename the file but actually make a copy. Probably made the app easy to write but limits its usefulness.
